Celebrate with us as we share the story of Christ in Christmas along with holiday music and distributing special gift bags to every resident in local skilled care centers. Each year Crossroads Ministries is given the opportunity to bless the residents of many area care centers at Christmas. We purchase and collect, wrap and deliver over 1500 Christmas gifts to the residents; some who would otherwise be forgotten at Christmas time. We receive calls from the care centers asking if we can deliver gifts to them because many of the residents would not have Christmas without the help of Crossroads Ministries. Residents feel loved, valued and honored when someone cares enough to remember them. The need is great. We expect to be asked to fulfill requests for over 2,000 gifts this year. We would like to be able to fill every request and thereby demonstrate the love of Christ. There are many opportunities to serve with Operation Golden Christmas from adopting a care center and delivering gifts to providing a financial gift or purchasing and wrapping the gifts that will be distributed to the care centers. We begin to prepare for this event in the fall, but contact us for more information any time of year at email@example.com
Operation Easter Hope
Easter is a time of joy, celebration and hope. As believers in Christ, we know it is hope not only for the here and now, but for eternity in the presence of God. But what does Easter look like for those who have no hope? For those who have been forgotten? For those living in skilled nursing care centers? They probably feel like the disciples did after the death of Christ—lost, forgotten, hopeless. But, we can bring hope and love to the elderly.
At Easter, Crossroads Ministries brings hope and love to the residents through Operation Easter Hope. Volunteers lead special Easter services; including music, a personal visit with each resident and a personal follow up two weeks later to answer any questions and pray with them. Our volunteers and chaplains are able to present the residents with the love and hope of Christ through a letter from Crossroads, a booklet explaining the true meaning of Easter and a few goodies. The message of Easter is clear… It’s hope! Get involved by contacting Tina at firstname.lastname@example.org
Just because you can’t volunteer in person doesn’t mean you can’t have an impact on the lives of the elderly in skilled nursing and assisted living centers. Your generous financial gifts allow us to provide the resources utilized by our volunteers. You can donate by using our secure online payment option here or through a recurring automatic monthly gift from your checking account or credit card. Call our office at (719) 635-5767 or email us for information on how to set up your ACH account. Your donation will benefit forgotten seniors living in skilled care and assisted living centers. So, whether it’s a one-time gift or an ongoing monthly contribution, we want to make supporting the spiritual needs of the elderly easy for you.
